چکیده

;1 study of the metabolism of triphenylmethane and triphenylcarbinol in the rabbit indicates that the major urinary metabolite of these two compounds is the corresponding glucuronide. When 1 gm of triphenylmethane is fed to rabbits, approximately 357; of the dose is excreted unchanged in the feces, 45-55”,‘, is excreted in the urine as a glucuronide, and a small amount is converted to 4-hydroxytriphenymethane. Crinary excretion of triphenylcarbinol as the glucuronide accounts for approximately 430/; of a 1-gm dose fed to rabbits. Thirty-three c,‘O of the triphenylcarbinol is excreted unchanged in the feces.

Triphenylmethane reductase from Citrobacter sp. strain KCTC 18061P: purification, characterization, gene cloning, and overexpression of a functional protein in Escherichia coli.

We purified to homogeneity an enzyme from Citrobacter sp. strain KCTC 18061P capable of decolorizing triphenylmethane dyes. The native form of the enzyme was identified as a homodimer with a subunit molecular mass of about 31 kDa. It catalyzes the NADH-dependent reduction of triphenylmethane dyes, with remarkable substrate specificity related to dye structure. Maximal enzyme activity occurred a...

Isolation and characterization of Pseudomonas otitidis WL-13 and its capacity to decolorize triphenylmethane dyes.

Pseudomonas otitidis WL-13, which has a high capacity to decolorize triphenylmethane dyes, was isolated from activated sludge obtained from a wastewater treatment plant of a dyeing industry. This strain exhibited a remarkable color-removal capability when tested against several triphenylmethane dyes under both shaking and static conditions at high concentrations of dyes. More than 95% of Malach...

Removal of Triphenylmethane Dyes by Bacterial Consortium

A new consortium of four bacterial isolates (Agrobacterium radiobacter; Bacillus spp.; Sphingomonas paucimobilis, and Aeromonas hydrophila)-(CM-4) was used to degrade and to decolorize triphenylmethane dyes. All bacteria were isolated from activated sludge extracted from a wastewater treatment station of a dyeing industry plant. Individual bacterial isolates exhibited a remarkable color-removal...

Aurintricarboxylic acid and polynucleotides as novel inhibitors of ribonucleotide reductases.

Ribonucleoside diphosphate reductases isolated from Escherichia coli, baker's yeast, Ehrlich ascites tumor cells, and unicellular green alga (Scenedesmus obliquus) are inhibited strongly and uniformly by the polymeric triphenylmethane dye, aurintricarboxylic acid. The molecule appears to interact simultaneously with the enzyme's various nucleotide and catalytic (iron-organic radical) sites. Oli...

Adsorption removal of pollutants (triphenylmethane and xanthene dyes) from water by charfines and activated carbon

The adsorption removal of Triphenylmethane & Xanthene dyes onto a low-cost coal based adsorption (Charfines) and its efficiency in dye colour sorption was compared with activated carbon (F-400). Batch studies were performed and the results revealed that Charfines demonstrated on ability to adsorb the reactive Triphenylmethane & Xanthene dyes. The sorption interaction of reactive dye on to Charf...
